About ME... This year marks my 23rd year of teaching. I have been so fortunate to have been given the gift and the charge to inspire, educate, and love children. As an educator my goal has always been to foster a challenging learning environment that empowers children to recognize their unique talents and potential, and to encourage them to act on it.
I graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and American Studies and hold an APC. I have taught preschool, first grade and third grade. I am honored to be a part of the Beach Elementary School teaching staff and LOVE SECOND GRADE!
My family and I all live the CCPS life! My husband is a retired PG County Police Officer and serves NHS as a Safety Advocate. Our son Benjamin is beginning his third year of college at James Madison University and our daughter Emily is a senior at NHS. We also have a Golden Retriever named Stella Rose. She does not know she is a dog due to the royal treatment she receives from all of us. My amazing family is my world and I am so grateful for our incredible love story that God has written.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, serving and doing life with my friends at Chesapeake Church, surfing the internet for new and cool ideas for school, recipes, decorating ideas and shopping.
